I sweat in the blazing sun
So as to keep cool,
That I may offer you shade.
Even though our love disappears as a mirage.
I sway with the wind of the storm
So as not to break,
That I may hold you in my arms, sheltered
As our love falls to the ground like an autumn leaf.
I shiver with the cold of the frost
So as to keep warm,
That I may surround you with heat
While our love dissolves like melting snowflakes.
One day you will remember me
And your love will try to burst forth
Like a new shoot in the spring,
But I will be gone like a white hart disturbed by hunters.
