I stood beside a virtual stage
Leading from an everlasting hall
My soul was trapped within a cage
A silent whisper gave my name a call
I strolled up the steps of fear
Upon a pedestal of regret
As I knew the end was approaching near
My conscience broke into a sweat
Glowing orbs
To what seemed like milestones
Releasing the strength which I absorbed
Sent energy through each bone
A mirror of life was placed before my eyes
As I observed its magnificent glow
Its radiance caught me by surprise
Revealing answers I did not know
Hope! Alas i finally see
Milestones define Man’s success
He acts upon no decree
And holds tightly what he possesses
An onix of milestones stretched across the hall
Each telling a story of fate
Once again, that silent call
A voice I can familiarly relate
Many of which defined my past
Others hold in Future’s mystery
Who knows how long each would last
But I see what I see in me
