A simple thoughtful guess
Enables the moves of chess
Best of plans sometimes miss
And fall into a surprise abyss
If I had known what was ahead
Would I have stayed of fled?
If I had gone a different way...
Who knows where I would be today?
It is impossible to put life in reverse
Possibly things could have been worse
Oh well, reflecting can be ineffective
Hindsight is not a perfect detective
