A modern day prophet of doom
is a rather corpulent politician -
a Cassandra of global warning
With this sole exception,
the daughter of a king
and a furious woman,
Cassandra foretold truth
but was ignored.
Our prophet of doom
tells no truth
but he is praised
for his foresight! .
