On my wine glass
there is an eye the
color of green,
like the oceans
where the mermaids
dream.
I almost broke
this wine glass
with my bike,
making the
hairs on my
arms begin
to spike.
The bar handle of the
bike did miss,
the Green Eyed Lady
without a glitch.
Shelly, who,
painted the
Green Eyed Lady
did confess
She blessed
this wine glass
like all the rest.
Now I know
Why,
Green Eyed Lady
is still by my side
whenever I want
to drink my red wine.
