a friendly nature-strip librarian

Reads in bed as her boyfriend recovers
neither storm nor throes of passion intrude

Sprints outside, covers top but not bottom
why worry, it’s dark, gonna be quick

As boyfriend protests, her rapid reply,
“Don’t get dressed_be back in a second! ”

Barefoot steps thunder back in urgency
modesty on a quiet summer night

Pedestrian twigs to that nearly seen
a ‘kitty on heat’ almost caught outside
