I had my backpack on my bed
Filling it with clothes and other neccessities
Hearing the argueing downstairs continue into the twilight hours
I question myself
Whether I should actually go through with it or not
I hear my inner voice say
'They love you. They would miss you.'
But somehow I know that is just wishful thinking
As I hear my dad slowly losing the fight
And my mom quickly stomping to her room
And slamming the door
Rather loudly
Making the walls of my room shake
My body tenses up
Knowing she is mad at me
Somewhere in my mind
I decide to end my struggle
And stay at my house
And think
Maybe next time.
