At the birth of Baby Jesus
Three wise men did ponder:
Which gift to take for Jesus
This Holy Child ~ this Wonder.
What offering could they give
So eager as they were?
They would take some frankincense
They would take some myrrh.
'Myrrh', it is the bitter one,
'Frankincense' is sweet,
They were bold, they added gold
And made the ideal gift complete.

I wish you a Happy twenty-fifth December
and amid the hilarity I pray you'll remember
the Wonder of the Holy Birth of Jesus.
