Surprise Me!

Rashida Mack - Lost Innocence

2014-06-15 2 Dailymotion

Running down the icy, snow covered road,
we ran,
laughing,
you looking back,
as I chased.

Rounding the bin,
you jumped on the back of a reindeer drawn wooden carriage.
As it stalled,
elated at the catch,
I am upon you,
and then I see,
so close to home,
the reindeer's antlers have become entwined with the branches of the tree,
crowd gathering round,
you sitting calm,
we watch as a fireman from the bricked and arched station across the street
straightens both out.

From behind,
I soothe the hearty haired dark deer with strokes,
once freed, he turns his head and bites for my wrist.
It's my watch he wants as I watch him clamp his teeth
around the head,
crushing time.
