I hear people talk,
About the two of us.
Wishing they would stop,
And not make such a fuss.
They think we're together,
But we know that's a lie.
It's been going on forever,
Never passing us by.
You say you hear them, too,
And I am just a friend.
If only I could agree with you,
This would not be the end.
I'm not saying goodbye.
At least not for now.
I can't live this lie.
I say this as a vow.
