You did not think, yet felt the puzzling ache
as I,
and when it trickled there was great surprise,
and it was true, it drew us into it,
a fuzzy thing in the magician's hat,
as if our skins had merged
and melted into yet another world,
your heat was lost so deep within
igniting friendly and satanic ghosts
dressed up in flyboy's camouflage
and seeking its own sure demise.
And when we speak of love,
send kisses through the laden air
the secret stays inside that special place,
it was not the surprise nor the strange novelty
it was the ties, just freshly wrought
that bind forever with the knots of time.
