A face that's numb
takes pause
to recollect its features.
A mouth that's dumb
can't gasp
its self respect.
The brain's too blind
to predict
its seething injury.
An unsuspecting female
mind is wrecked.
The look in his eyes
at the rendered strike,
was his own mad thrill,
an act of delight.
