The loneliness comes
A young burglar awkward
In his craft and obvious
During high noon when i'm home
And wide awake
Or while I sit thinking
Isolated in my quiet solitude
The intrusion
As startling as a window breaking
Makes my heart palpitate
i chase it with a broom
Hurl obscenities
And call out to my god
To condemn it to hell
And then
I cry
