We pray and wish
That country stands united with
Unfinished goal and excel
Poor rejoice with joy and feel
It is day of enjoyment
For children and countrymen
It is difficult to say
But we will certainly find the way
New nations always find it hard
To forget old memory and look forward
Yet it is good to move ahead
And provide the lead
Freedom means not yoke free
But in real terms in open and under tree
Free air and melody under the sky
No bondage of any kind and it is worth to try
People should live without fear
No more threats from any quarter
Peaceful existence and world found so near
That is real dream when poor will have no tears
Country is vast with different faiths
Prayers and customs are different at the time of death
But so long we are alive, we have one religion
That peace must be maintained at any cost in the regions
It will always be bad to draw arms
Think always of arm race and aim to harm
Violence and war has never brought peace
So avoid talks of acrimony please
What will happen if few millions are dead?
But message behind it will definitely be read
Let kill poverty and alleviate sufferings
Have-not countries await goodwill, gesture and offerings
