The tongue is a small part of the body
But it can destroy so much in seconds,
It is like a tiny spark of fire that can quickly
Burn a forest down and areas beyond.
As the tongue needs to be held at bay
Our minds like blank canvas needs filtering,
Not all thoughts are healthy, and some we may
Erase and not allow to darken our living.
Thoughts are the lines we draw on our canvas,
The tongue eventually does the displaying.
Images we paint in our minds will soon pass
As the man we've become, by words we're saying.
