The hour is getting late
and we've had a good day
now we both lay together
with my arms around you
and the smell of your hair
fills the quiet surrounding room
as you fall asleep on my shoulder
our bodies close
and I lay awake,
not wanting to sleep
because I know
that even the best of dreams
cant possibly be more satisfying
than this single moment
I let out a smile to myself,
and I know without a doubt
that this is where I want to be
you are who I want to be with
and that I love you.
