Staring at a pale white page
Wondering what to write
Looking for some kind of muse
To let my thoughts take flight
I look around the room I'm in
At pictures, films and books
Thinking of poems I could pen
About heroes, myths or crooks
Those things do not excite my brain
Or inspire me at all
There's only one thing that I know
My hand will let me scrawl
Still the page remains a blank
My talent rendered blind
I can only think of you my love
You're all that's on my mind
