Where is the stoplight
That dreams of stopping me in my
Sprint?
I will uproot it
Knock it down
It will stop me no more
I will carry on
No impedance
Will pull me from the straight and
Narrow
The path that draws me nearer and
Nearer to you
My lover
My friend
No blinking thing will keep me away
Any longer
And I carry a towel with me
On my travels
I run with all my might
Sweating through the hot sun
To make my way to you
But the desert sands couldn't
Make me tarry any longer
I think we've waited long enough
I will come to you
Just hold on
The image I see before me
As I run through the day and the
Night
Is your face before my face
And the thing I think I must do some
Time soon
Is draw nearer to you
That I may kiss you
On your sweet, sweet mouth
I would run a thousand marathons to
Show the love I have for you
I would run until my knees had no
More runs in them
But you tell me I needn't think such
Things
That my love is sufficient to
Keep you next to me for this journey
To eternity
And that's beautiful to me
So long as you're aware
I'd run my whole life long
To reach you
Paddle my way across Atlantic and
Pacific
Traverse Jungle and Desert to find
You
Climb cliffs and dropp from the sky to
Rescue you
Anything to be close to you
Any way to say that I love you
