First drops of rain
After months of dry heat
Whisper cool breezes
Breath gently through my hair
Summer bids us adieu
As fall trickles into place
So beautiful the sound
Of raindrops to my ears
To watch the blades
of dried grass glisten with hope
As they sway to the vibrant colors
Of fallen leaves upon ground
