Seven poems I wrote them all
And put them out to sea;
Sealed within a bottle small
For some poor lad to free.
I took such care on every line
Each word and verse and meter;
Their thoughts to take the noblest time
To whom their finded reader!
Perhaps one day he'll look me up
When many eons have past;
On heaven's shore with golden cup
In his hand to pass.
We'll laugh a bit as we recall
And merrily go on, to be;
of-
Seven poems I wrote them all-
And put them out to sea!
