Branch and foliage
Bend unto the loading strain
Of that cleansing quenching serenade
Soaked into bark and on leaf blade,
Tracing limbs open and reaching
Caressing the trunk taut and beseeching
Into the earth where firmly grounded
The awaiting seeds are realized or founded,
Each mighty crown lowers conceding passionately
In tribute to praise so great a majesty
By whose light and soft moist breath
Love is sustained as life itself.
