Surprise Me!

John Dillenger II - Fear Greater Than The Fall

2014-06-17 0 Dailymotion

Today begins
as the last one ends
a perpetual motion
of death and life.
I've had my sins,
my long lost friends,
a calming notion
in the midst of strife.

Now I cringe at the thought,
long lost is much to far away,
I'd dream of you every night,
but my dreams are black and gray.
Falling I was caught,
but your not here today
today I fall without the fight,
the world below begun to sway.

But as I step from the roof
a floor appears beneath me.
You say to tell you the truth
I can't stand to leave you, see?
Even when I'd left the edge,
I fought to find you near.
The tips of my toes over the edge,
The fall was not what I fear.
