I stood watching dumbfound at destruction,
My body froze, and the heart couldn't function.
I was watching my years burn amidst all disruption,
My affection destroy, and disappear all previous emotion.
Drumming heartbeat pumped blue blood,
I had lost the fight that I had hardly fought.
Senses weakened, and veins caught,
A sensation to die, a suicidal thought.
I walked to the truck, and pulled out a jacket,
Then strengthened my hand, against a tiny necklace locket.
All body strength with coordinate mind could urn,
In a flash, behind it would be the sun.
The firemen stood paralyzed in the street,
Some of the helped, while some knelled down to sit.
Blasts of wind shuddered bursting lead,
And within a glimpse of time, I stumbled into the house and said: ...
