My beautiful pain
I self-destruct for you.
Your dark eyes call to me.
I run from you,
Away from you to another drink
Another distraction,
Any escape from the pain you cause my soul.
But again I find my way back to your torturous charms,
your chilling embrace.
In the circle of your arms I am stabbed,
I am pierced through.
My eyes bleed tears of guilt.
Remorse runs down my ruined arms from an open wound,
Self-inflicted with your razor.
I look upon this total devestation I have become
And I wonder
Shall I save myself?
Shall I remove your dagger from my belly?
Do I turn away forever from your dark, beckoning eyes?
But no.
I return again to my beautiful pain
And die, cursed, in your arms.
