Terrance Tracy - Contemplation

Just before dawn when all of the heavenly bodies are on display in the cold night air, a sense of insignificance fills my mind with the immensity of the heavens.

Overwhelmed in spirit a glimpse of inspiration emerges from the recesses of my mind; whom am I in this universal display.
Billions of stars that light the night sky suggest that there is someone greater than I.

Someone greater than I knows the name each star has proclaimed.
Someone greater than I laid out the stars in precise position to maintain life on earth.
The question is raised where is your praise for someone greater than I.

How often I have sat on a hill sitting on a stump staring at nothing in particular no thoughts of verse, just sitting on a stump looking at the beauty of God's creation with no appreciation.

How often I have sat on a piling at the edge of a dock staring at the ships in port; to marvel in disbelief that I was a part of this picture quicker than I thought; because someone greater than I had set the course that my life would follow the source that someone wrote up in the high heavenly places before I entered the will of his glory.
