I don't have all the answers
Heck I don't have any answers
I don't seek them either
I just be.
I do know some basic facts
They anchor my footings in this short life
The Sun always rises from the East
Chasing the moon is a perpetual motion
I fall prey to 4 unpredictable seasons
I cry when I hear a breakup song
I love my family.
I respect God; I don't second or third guess him
I let Him be, I simply go on
He has his reasons, I have my journey
These simple cornerstones enough
For me to sail through life's ups and downs
I don't fuss about the size of my bank account either
Whether overflowing with abundance like Niagara falls
Or a measly creek in a desert
I just live one day at time
And yes I do follow the Golden rule
I respect my fellow Man
If I am given the finger by mistake
I pretend it's glorifying the heavens above
And if I hear a shout or two
I pretend it's a Hallelujah choir warming up
And if a lack of smile frames my day
I bite into a tablet of sweet dark chocolate
Life is simple
Life is sweet
Life is beautiful
I am alive
Amen to that
And that is that
