You said little girl don’t worry things will change
I put a mask on my face so you thought I believed
I walked around with a knife in my pocket just to feel safe
You had a look of danger on your face
Where were you?
Did you see the tears run down?
Did you know the blood stained my body?
The scars left such a sad memory
Its imprinted in my mind
Never going to leave till the day that I die
Was I a thought every time you took a hit
I died a little more when I watched you leave
I walked a dark and lonely path
I had only me and that was it
Where were you?
Did you see the tears run down?
Did you know the blood stained my body?
The scars left such a sad memory
Its imprinted in my mind
Never going to leave till the day I die
Your fingers like snakes wrapped around my neck
The blade of promise ending everything
That you held so perfectly
Only a stare of coldness in those icy blue eyes
Seasons change all the time
But this summer turned so cold
Goodbye for now my dear father.
