May I
ponder
along your path
linger
upon your warmth
lather you
within my hearth
smother you
with my sweet breath
someday, in this lifetime?
Can I
trace a line
across parted lips
paint a flower
over closed lids
cover you along in candy nips
shower you a bit with maple sips
someday in this life time?
Could I
enclose you
within my hold
enfold you
within my song
embrace you, as a whole
engrave you within my soul
someday in this life time?
Should I
scurry alongside you
as your best
bury my head
on your chest
make this my eternal quest
forget about all the rest
someday in this life time?
Would you mind
If I
carefully,
picked your art
tenderly,
kissed you for a start
playfully, nuzzled you apart
gently, touched your heart
someday in this life time?
Will you,
for once, belong to me
mind, heart and body
to be my one and only;
So I may smile in glee
Someday, in this life time?
