Ukraine's military says it's found a weapons cache belonging to pro-Russian fighters in a Slaviansk church.
During a search they discover soviet anti-personnel mines and modern portable air defense systems.
(SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) SECOND RESERVE BATTALION CHIEF OF STAFF, ANDRIY, SAYING:
"Thanks to cooperation with the local population we got to know that arms and ammunition depot is located in this church."
Meanwhile, aid is being delivered to the region -- where one music teacher says another day of bloodshed is the last thing she wants to see.
(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) MUSIC TEACHER, EUGENIA, SAYING:
"We didn't need it. We were all scared when weapons were everywhere, even at the market. It was terrifying. I was born in 1942 on February 2nd, on the day of the battle of Stalingrad. And I have not seen such terror and genocide in my life. I think nothing similar to what we have seen here in Slaviansk happened even during the Great Patriotic War."
