Godeungeo Mujorim (Braised Mackerel with Radish)
A winter favorite for many Koreans is "Godeungeo Jorim" or braised mackerel. When the firm-fleshed fish meets soft radish, the combo tasting sweet and spicy is better than you can imagine.
■ Ingredients
1 mackerel
400g radish
1/2 tbsp rice wine
1/2 tsp salt
1 red chili pepper
1 green chili pepper
Sauce:
1 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
1 tbsp red chili flakes/powder
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 tbsp rice wine
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 knob ginger
1 1/2 cup water
