On a very sunny Friday 18th July at Southampton Football Club in Hampshire, UK, over 4000 people gathered in a bid to set a brand new world record for the largest ukulele ensemble gathered in one location.
The official count on the day consisted of 2370 musicians of all ages, and playing a 30 minute programme of well known songs in unison on their ukuleles (sandwiched in-between two entertainment sessions).
