Bajaj’s discovery for Discover started all the way back in 2004, and since then it hadn’t stopped yet. Over a decade, the Discover has now grown a size bigger, that’s the 150F which is honed with a fairing at front. Test ridden it over the weekend, revealed how this new Discover is going to fare. Find out here in detail…
Design
The design is similar to smaller Discovers based on the same framing. Undeniably, aesthetic is sporty to look at for such a commuter bike. LED tail light and digital odo comes standard with service indicator and clock. The add-on job of fairing between the headlamp and fuel-tank is impeccable. In fact, seat is one of the longest. Hence, Bajaj has exploded all the desirable gimmicks for a competitive price tag!
Engine Performance and Ride Experience:
In the belly, commuter friendly Discover comes powered by a 145cc DTS-I single cylinder engine powering more than 14 horsepower. The 5-speed upshift gearbox is refined like its engine but takes time to adapt to. Cornering and urban maneuvering isn’t tough at all. The NVH levels are chopped off to a larger extent, but the sound note was a bit annoying like a typical Bajaj bike. Hence, nothing much added at par the “Discover” brand, but it’s good as a product for approximately Rs 60,000 pricing.
Verdict
For the conclusion, biggest Discover still mimics those smaller siblings. A free-revving machine planted with excitement for daily commute is what the company has positioned it for. But before buying the Discover 150F, look for the fuel-efficiency which isn’t quite decent comparatively to its rivals.
IndiaDrives rates this bike at 6/10.
