The old blue Commodore
Parked casually on the grass in the backyard
The lackluster patina of corrosion
Oozing from every rusty pore
Steel viscera exposed
For examination of boys
Clasping the ubiquitous symbol of maleness
The stubby cooler
Wrapped around the liquid symbol of their manhood
The beer
They talk
And drink
Tinkering with the car and their place in the world
