Does a leaf play both sides when it falls?
For it is then, that it is away from it’s umbilical,
Floating in the atmosphere
Betwixt the Heavens and Earth.
Does it betray its’ tree,
When its’ tree initially let it go?
Or does the tree betray it?
The leaf can rise and fly
To the Highest peak,
Cheating neither Heaven or Earth.
Only one day to fall to foundations ground,
Looking back at no thing in judgment.
Knowing the tree that it first left.
