I didn’t spend much time with you
And now it is too late
But if I had the time again
I’d get to know you more, and be you’re mate
You were getting older
You’re body growing weak
But I didn’t care
I just turned the other cheek
Everyone says
That I must try and understand
That an angel called your name
And took you by the hand
Because of my blindness
I didn’t get to say goodbye
I wasn’t there when you needed me
I wasn’t there when you died
Now I have one last wish for you
Before I say my goodbye
I wish you find the peace you need
And that you can now soar high
The day you left me on earth alone
I was at a party that was mad!
I was having fun while you were in pain
I’m sorry my dear Granddad.
