His smile came easy
It just was his way,
Quiet and reserved,
Didn’t have much to say.
Yet kindness and giving,
Were words he lived for,
And truly he gave,
Till he could give no more.
He was never pretentious,
Or a loud showy man,
With the bible his model,
Seeking to understand.
His quiet demeanor,
Covered thinking so deep,
And his quest for the truth,
The reward he would reap.
Yes father I miss you,
These many long years,
And though I don’t show it,
I still fight back my tears.
