When I saw you today
It lightened my load
And when you smiled at me
It put me in happy mode.
I thought of you all day
And the way your smile helped me out,
It put a song in my heart
And it made me want to shout.
No, it wasn't a word
But an action that made my day
That smile helped me Keep On Going
Despite of what came my way.
So I thanked God for the special gift
That He just happened to send,
Not gold, silver, or precious jewels,
But the smile of a friend.
