The mountain air is fresh and brisk
The lake shimmers in the sunshine
Waiting for you was worth the risk
This love a divine design
Breezes blow through the open window
Carrying scents of spring
Who would have thought so long ago
What our love would bring
It’s brought me forth from a storm
That I thought would never end
No southern son could keep me warm
In no comfort could I depend
A life of wonder and worry no more
An end to endless rowing
No tale of hardship to implore
Only light and love overflowing
