I do not fear you death,
Or your cold embrace.
I do not fear your fetid breath,
Or fear to see thy face.

You hold no power over me,
That I don't choose to give.
I know that what must be will be,
I'll never fear you while I live.

I won't spend my time thinking of you,
I have better things in mind.
I have so many things I have to do,
So many things to find.

And when you finally come to call,
I will not hide from you.
I will weather it like all the squalls,
That day I will not rue.

For tis the destiny of man,
To meet thee face to face.
So I'll live serenely while I can,
While I wait for your embrace.
