Tilting towards devilry I stumbled
I forgot the words my mother said
and crumbled
I didn't listen to my friends
I took no heed and so,
I fell into the devils pit
and we made love an hour ago.
I'm tainted
I feel disgraced, I nearly fainted
I saw the mask, the rose, the thorn
I hang my head in shame, forlorn.
My body aches, my mouth is dry
and all I want to do is cry
for I have lain where devils lie!
I'm changing
My body's rearranging
My finger nails are growing long,
my hair is turning green
whereas before my eyes were dim
I now can clearly see
the devil must have taken me!
