We started out as friends
Then it grew to much more
Now it's going nowhere
For the love I have in store
I wish it had never been
For all it was so great
For I'd rather be your friend
Then think it's me you hate
It burns my soul to not be able
To speak with you sometimes
I don't know how to tell you
I can only speak in rhymes
I hope that you will read this
And know I speak of you
Know that I still miss you
And I still love you too
But if that love can never be
Then why can't we be friends
I want to hear your voice once more
