A doctor sought fame,
meddled with nature.
Steptoe was his name,
a man of some stature.
His work in the field of IVF
has given joy to many a wife;
leaving us questions to answer,
a moral dilemma to ponder.
Should the child be told the lot?
If yes, when? If no, why not?
Thank your lucky star it is not you;
I certainly wouldn’t know what to do.
