Teresa Chrobak - Two Trees

2014-10-29 10 Dailymotion

In autumnal radiance they stand erect
One so brilliantly emboldened
the other dimly lying prostrate

The wind blows with arrogant force
One bends freely, flexibly, exhibiting its pliable way
the other inhales with servile incompetence

Creatures arrive to seek variegated solitude
One pounds its proverbial chest
the other departs to faded companionship

In autumnal dimness they stand erect
One so humbly friendless
the other radiantly beloved

The wind calms to modest coercion
One snaps to attention, the most rigid way
the other leans in with accepting confidence

Creatures observe with an inquisitive stare
One hangs its downtrodden limbs
the other disregards indifferently, irrelevant judgement

Two trees stand erect
In Autumnal Radiance
Recognizing their beauty
Realizing their connection
Forever leaning on each other for enduring strength
