I too walked this earth
Felt it's sadness and it's mirth
A farmer at heart; I worked this land
A two pocket work shirt and a farmers tan
A John Deere hat upon my head
A man of few words; I left a lot unsaid
Farming auctions, I could spend all day
Cutting, drying and baling hay
Fresh sweet corn from the Jorgensen's crop
An icy cold ginger ale pop
A treat for Brandy, always in my truck
I loved playing Lotto, I was full of luck
Breakfast at Ellie's and supper too
All of this I watched through eyes of blue
