My poetry is remiss
Like a stolen kiss
It fails to please
The words freeze
It's no surprise
I'd kiss the skies
If they could sing
Or maybe take wing
My words do fail
And take no sail
To fly away
Here they stay
Taunting me so
They refuse to go
To wondrous eyes
That bind the ties
Of poems remiss
