In country A the democrats
Are getting out of hand.
In country B they are butchering plutocrats.
In country C they are staging a coup d'etat;
In country D they are restoring the monarchy,
But don't agree on the dynastic heir.
In country E they are trying a Welfare State;
And country F is going to the dogs.
The anarchists are having fun,
Rebellion is always justified
When rebels choose what rules they will obey.
In all countries the wise are going quietly desperate.
The square is a cage with two big exits:
Up and down.
Yesterday I had plans to be truly great,
But today I am in the dumps again.
