The stars twinkle afar
Dancing in the iridescent night sky
And in the presence of shimmering stars
The horizon looks darker
And the years longer
In the silence of the night
I look out
In thirsting longing eyes
And see as if you are going past
Then I think of you
As you linger on my mind always
And that looks like a mirage
Haunting me in tears
Ensouled on hope, love
And memory for years
A world once golden now looks barren
The skies once azure now looks leaden
You are life
You are sunshine
You are faith
You are hope
You are my breath and my heaven
You give me peace sublime
It pains to open eyes
When you are not beside
So in closing my eyes
I see you shining
Like an eternal sunshine
