You died on a cross
for our sins
to wash us clean
from our sinful ways
with your blood drops
from your wounds
Sold out You were
by one man
a beloved disciple
for a mere thirty
silver pieces
You took the bread
You poured the wine
You thanked God
And said:
'Take this is my Body
and my Blood given to you
to wash away all your sins'
Mocked and beaten
You were for our sins
betrayed you were
with one kiss
then taken away
by cruel soldiers
to be nailed brutally
to a wooden cross
for us to be forgiven
from our sins
Darkness covered the land
You omitted Your Spirit
into God's hands
Satan was finally
defeated forever
Three days You stayed
in death chains
then you were
raised to life
death could not hold
You back
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Victorious in God's name
You were
Our sins forgiven in love
by God the Father
we now are re- united
with God the Father
finally, it was done
Satan was defeated forever
