just how many stories
do you have to tell?
oh concrete buildings,
who rise lifeless into the skies
just how many guitars,
are hidden within you?
oh tall green trees,
who stand silent under stars
just how many secrets
do you keep away from us?
oh dark black nights,
who steal light every evening
just how many nuggets
will you unearth for us?
oh precious little streams,
who cleanse these dirty lands
just how many clouds
did you puncture last storm?
oh gleeful lightning bolts,
who rumble thunder above us
just how many thirsts,
are left for you to quench?
oh happily wet rains,
who fill our glasses and souls
just how many more joys,
will you keep smiling at me?
oh you beautiful girl,
who sleeps by my side all life
