An hour gained is nothing
When it’s all been said
It’s your last day here
And my last day here with you.
It’s a little sad that
There is nothing significant
To do with the gift
Of just 60 minutes more
That we haven’t done in
The past 6 months.
One hour won’t change the fact
That you have something to go to
Or the reasons I have to stay.
Ironically, the one time
We can cheat time
It is just not enough
To change the future.
